Concert-presentation of new Yamaha musical instruments provided to NCOA

On February 11, at 19:00 at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall a concert-presentation will take place.

In 2019, the National Center of Classical Music applied to the Grassroots grant program of the Japan Government expecting to receive new musical instruments due to the program. As a result of long-term cooperation with the Ambassador of Japan to Armenia Jun Yamada, the Center won the grant.

On February 26, 2020, the signing ceremony of the contract between the Embassy of Japan in Armenia and the National Center of Classical Music took place. An agreement was reached to equip the Center with new Yamaha instruments.

In September 2020 the first musical instrument - Clavinova was brought to Armenia. Then, in December 2020, the Center received Timpani, Bass and Snare drums, Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Tubular bells, Background Sound System, Digital Mixing Console. The piano arrived in Armenia in late January 2021.

During the concert the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, conducted by Robert Mlkeyan and pianist Svetlana Navasardyan will perform.
