On May 26, at 19:00, a concert entitled “Beloved Homeland” will take place at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall, featuring the Armenian State Chamber Choir and soloists.

The concert is dedicated to the First Republic Day.

De España Vengo: Zarzuelas | “Tagharan’’ Ensemble-45

On May 27, at 19:00, at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall, the Tagharan Ancient Music Ensemble presents a solo concert of Gayane Ghambaryan, soprano, laureate of international competitions, entitled “De España Vengo”.

The evening will feature excerpts from Spanish zarzuelas, as well as traditional Spanish songs.

Artistic Director and Conductor: Sedrak Yerkanyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia.

Հանդիսատեսը կբացահայտի երգեհոնային հեքիաթների կախարդական աշխարհն  նոր շնչով ու տրամադրությամբ։ 

Հեքիաթի ձևաչափով և սցենարական հետաքրքիր լուծումներով սիրված դերասանուհի Հասմիկ Վերդյանը խաղերի ու կատակների միջոցով երեխաներին կծանոթացնի երգեհոնի կախարդական աշխարհին՝ վերածելով սովորական երեկոն իսկական երաժշտական հեքիաթի։

Իսկ տաղանդավոր երգեհոնահարուհիներ Լուսինե Հարությունյանն ու Աննա Բակունցը կենդանի կատարումներով երեխաներին կտեղափոխեն երգեհոնի հնչյունների աշխարհ՝ Բախից մինչև Հարի Փոթերի գեղեցիկ մեղեդիներ։ Թզուկի դերում՝ երգեհոնահար Հարություն Թագվորյան։

Երեխաները ոչ միայն կլսեն երաժշտություն, այլև կդառնան պատմության մի մասը՝ մասնակցելով խաղերին ու բացահայտելով, թե ինչպես է երգեհոնը կարողանում խոսել երաժշտության լեզվով։

Tango Animal: Batimento Duo from Uruguay
The National Center of Chamber Music and the Embassy of Uruguay in Armenia present the exclusive concert “Tango Animal” by the Uruguayan ensemble “Batimento Duo”.
On June 4 at 7:30 PM, at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy works by the most prominent Uruguayan and Argentine composers in the history of tango, presented in a unique and contemporary interpretation.
The concert program is mainly based on the compositions from the musicians’ latest album, “Tango Animal.”
Batimento Duo is an Uruguayan instrumental ensemble featuring Ignacio Correa and Andrés Rey. Using regional music as a foundation, they explore a variety of musical perspectives, specializing in River Plate genres such as tango, waltz, and milonga.
The ensemble has performed at Uruguay’s most prestigious venues, including Solís Theatre, Sala Zitarrosa, and Sala Hugo Balzo (SODRE).
The musicians have participated in international festivals, masterclasses, and concert programs in various countries around the world, from Colombia and Mexico to Japan, Spain, England, Finland, and Argentina.

Jazzical Komitas։ NCOA & Joel Martin

On June 16 at 7:30 PM, the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia will present the exceptional “Jazzical Komitas” concert project at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, blending the depth of Armenian sacred and national music with the free expressiveness of jazz innovation.

Soloist: New York-based pianist and composer Joel Martin.

The concert will be conducted by British-Armenian conductor and tenor Sipan Olah.

For the first time, Yerevan audiences will have the opportunity to experience live performances of Joel Martin’s “Jazzical Komitas” arrangements, presented together with the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia.
The National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia presents an exceptional international project — “Jazzical Komitas”, a bold reimagining of Komitas’ musical legacy through the lens of jazz and contemporary classical expression.
Internationally acclaimed pianist and composer Joel Martin (New York) is known for his electrifying synthesis of classical virtuosity and jazz improvisation. His artistic collaborations span global icons such as Alan Menken, Fergie, Stevie Wonder, and opera legend Kathleen Battle. With a performance style that is both technically refined and emotionally expansive, Martin brings a distinctive voice to the modern piano stage.
Although not Armenian by heritage, Joel Martin’s connection to Komitas’ music spans over six years of deep artistic engagement. He describes himself as an “Armenian by choice,” having moved audiences across Yerevan, Los Angeles, and New York with his emotionally charged interpretations of Komitas’ works. His ongoing project has already produced two albums, with a third scheduled for release, as part of a creative journey aiming toward a Grammy nomination.
Joining him is British-Armenian conductor and tenor Sipan Olah (London), whose collaboration with Martin adds a distinctive transnational dimension to the project.
This concert is part of the “Jazzical Komitas” world tour (2026–2028), which will span 20 international cities. The first collaboration between Joel Martin, Sipan Olah, and the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia took place in New York on October 4, 2025, followed by upcoming performances in Yerevan and London.
